snorkeling

Hello Adventures,

Start the weekend off by exploring one of the best snorkelling beaches in Sydney. Shelly beach is located in Manly and forms part to the Cabbage Tree marine protected reserve.

Who can join the trip:
– Be comfortable swimming in the ocean
– able to swim 50m
– post your experience in the Sign up information section when registering. Blank submissions will result in an immediate rejection.

What to bring:
– brekkie, snacks and 2L of water (there is a cafe at the beach that sells food and drinks)
– Sunprotection (Sunscreen and hat)
– Towel
– Change of clothes

What the club can provide:

Cut & Paste into ‘Gear I Need Section’ when joining trip
(Delete anything you do not need):
– Mask
– Snorkel
– Fins
– Wetsuit and size (state a size: available sizes XS, S, M, L, XL)

How to get there:
– Public transport – ferry from circular quay to Manly. This is a nice scenic option especially if you are new to Sydney. The ferry takes around 25 minutes and the walk from the wharf around 15mins to shelly beach. Please factor this in if you decide to use this option.
– private vehicle – there is metered parking near by however parking is quite expensive in the northern beaches.

Please note that the trip is subject to the weather and water quality.
