Have you wonder what it takes to be a UTSOAC Trip Leader?
Ever looked at those who lead our club adventures and wanted to do the same but didn’t know how?
Perhaps you’d like to relive some of your favorite club trips and lead them as your own. Here is your opportunity!
All Trip Leaders must take part in this course before they can start leading and should be an active member of the club for at least around a year or If you have prior active outdoor experience and knowledge please state this in the comments section.
The Workshop is designed to introduce you to what it’s all about to be a Trip Leader and the steps you need to take to get there.
What the workshop will cover:
• How to organise and plan a trip and post it on the website.
• Safety issues, environmental and insurance matters.
• Brief intro to Club equipment and storage
• Trip leader incentives.
We will have some of our experienced Trip Leaders coming along to the evening to share tales of their club adventures.
The main goal of this workshop is to increase the number of trip leaders able to assist at Megafest.
We will also include gear storage induction on the same night, where we will introduce you to storage and the etiquette surrounding gear requisition.
Light refreshments will be provided for the evening.
