Hi Members,
Have you wonder what it takes to be a UTSOAC Trip Leader?
Ever looked at those who lead our club adventures and wanted to do the same but didn’t know how?
Well this is the first step every Trip Leader has taken in achieving that goal.
The Trip Leader Induction Course is designed to introduce you to what it’s all about to be a Trip Leader and the steps you need to take to get there. We’ll cover topics ranging from how to organise a trip, post it on our website to environmental impact and signing out gear.
We will have a couple of our experienced Trip Leaders coming along to the evening to share tales of their club adventures and our exciting club policies. Are our club policies really exciting??? Well come along and find out. We also encourage all current Trip leaders to come along, share their tales, refresh their memories and meet our potential future Trip Leaders.
Sign up and come along even if you’re just interested in what happens behind the scenes and meet some more club members.
Bring some of your trip ideas, as we love to hear and encourage fresh trips – who knows? We might post a live one on the night!
The Club will be providing pizza and beers on the house too.
Note: If you are wanting to step up into trip leading or seconding, we recommend you sign up the first aid course too, if you are not already qualified.
First Aid training will be given priority to up and coming trip leaders.
Workshop is held at:
UTS Building 4
Ross Milbourne Sports Hall
Tutorial room at the Basketball level (Downstairs from street level)
(the room where we normally hold the AGM and committee meetings)
If you are lost you can ask at the gym reception or call the attendant at 9514 9956.
Sorry there is no mobile phone reception downstairs!
Official street address: Building 4B, 745 Harris St, Ultimo. 2007
