G’day Guys
This looks like an interesting trip down one of the less frequently visited Mt. Wilson canyons.
I don’t know much about Whirlpool Canyon, there’s very little info on it, so it should be a proper adventure.
It seems challenging to get to, but looks like it could be a pretty nice.
Be prepared for a long walk in, a bit of scrub bashing, and a lot of route finding.
Since this is an exploratory trip we are looking for experienced canyoners.
If I don’t know you tell me about your canyoning/abseiling/off-track hiking experience when signing up.
To join you must be:
– an experienced and independent abseiler
– able to swim at least 50m in cold water
– comfortable with rock scrambling and off-track hiking
– fit enough for many hours of walking with a heavy pack, including some steep hills
