canyoning
Hello Canyoners!
Angelo and I will be conducting an intermediate canyoning trip this Sunday.
Whungee Wheengee Canyon is an excellent canyon, It features two main constrictions of high quality, a couple of duck unders. It’s also dark and the water is usually very cold which is great for this current heatwave and with lots of swims, numerous tricky down climbs, and a couple of abseils thrown in.
You will need to be fit, for walk-in is reasonably long and steep, and the canyon itself can take a long time, also there are a few tricky climb-downs and jumps (approx.7-10 hours)
The canyon will require the following skills and experience.
#Confident in Abseiling and have completed Abseil skills 1
#Can swim at least 100 m with a heavy backpack.
#Confident in rock scrambling.
#Previous canyoning expereince.
#Some climbing skills (would be handy)
