Breathtaking views, spectacular waterfronts, clean and vibrant nature. What more can you say about gorgeous Sydney Harbour? Well why not discover your choice of adjectives on this picturesque coastal walk from Taronga Zoo to Balmoral Beach.
This is an easy hike that’s 6.5km one way from the famous Taronga Zoo to one of the most popular beaches in Sydney, Balmoral Beach. We’ll have an early morning start around 9am and it should take roughly 3 hours. A great way to start the day! There is also the potential for lunch at the end.
Come along and get to know other keen adventurers and ease yourself into the club in a more relaxed fashion.
What to bring:
– Sun protection (Hat and Sunscreen at a minimum)
– Rain protection (probably)
– At least 2 litres of water (yes, really)
– Snacks
– Closed comfortable shoes
– Mozzie spray
– Money/Opal card
Getting there:
All locations are easily accessed via public transport, you can take the ferry from Circular Quay to Taronga Zoo which is a fabulous way to start your day. There are also buses running from Balmoral Beach to the city. I’ll send out more logistics beforehand.
As a warning, there’s often a deluge of bookings for accessible trips, so provide some info about yourself to get a bit of an edge on the other applicants. What’s the coolest thing you’ve ever seen?
Please note this is a beginners hike for new members ONLY, we will not accept any seasoned members (you know who you are).
