canyoning
Hello Adventurers!
Its canyon season again! After a long hard winter of knitting mittens and darning socks, we’re jonesing to get out there!
So lets get cracking with Tiger Snake canyon. Its a long way out there in the Newnes Plateau but has stunning walks and a very pretty canyon. Some waist deep water wading but no submersions or swims so we think its a gentle introduction!
This will be a day long trip ending back at the storage locker in Camperdown for a final equipment check and return.
More information can be found in the following links:

Priority will be given to people with AWD or off road capable vehicles. Please let us know if you drive a vehicle suitable for rutted gravel tracks.
We will do our best to organise transport for people without cars. Passengers will pay $15 each for the round trip to and from UTS Building 10.
Registrations will close if the trip fills up. Information regarding gear, travel arrangements and so on will be sent to successful applicants by Thursday 15th lunch time at the latest, so keep an eye on emails.
Pre-requisite:
– Must leave UTS Building 10 for the Blue Mountains by 6:30am on Saturday the 18th of October. (we will discuss transport options once places are confirmed).
– Available to drop off gear at the end of the trip on Sunday evening back at the storage facility.
– Must have done canyons in the last 12 months at least or have demonstrable prior abseiling experience (please give me details in the comments section of what canyons or abseiling you’ve done).
– Able to swim for at least 15 meters unassisted
– Good fitness
– Comfortable with scrambling around boulders, logs and other obstacles
– Comfortable with jumping into a pool of water from a height
– Must respond to all emails promptly
I will run this trip with Birger. We are looking forward to taking you canyoning!
Cheers
Dushy
