skills workshop
Learning knots is a great way to start learning how to do rope rigging. The more you practice your knot work, the better you’ll remember them when you actually need them.
We’ve got a bunch of rope ends in a bucket at The Ledge, so we’ll go through how to tie some knots and what they’re used for.
Among others, we’ll go over:
- Overhand knot
- Alpine butterfly
- Figure 8 (+ on a bight)
- Barrel / fisherman’s
- Clove hitch
- Munter hitch
Join us afterwards for some climbing, and/or dinner at the Forest Lodge Hotel @ 8pm.
Entry to The Ledge is $10.
– Cheers, Tim.
