Are you looking to meet other members of the club, learn some skills or do a little climbing? You should come along to our weekly social, skills and climbing evening! We meet at climbing gym then head to a pub afterward for dinner and chats. There’s no set agenda, we just gather and hang out.
We meet at 6pm at The Ledge Climbing Centre at USyd. There’s top rope climbing, bouldering and static ropes for practicing various skills. There’s also rope off-cuts for learning knots.
Cost: $10 general entry to the Ledge upon presentation of proof of UTS OAC membership. Entry is free if you’re just coming to hang out.
At around 8pm, we all head off to the Forest Lodge Hotel pub nearby for socialising and dinner. You can meet us there, we’ve got tables reserved – just ask for the “climbers” table.
This event is for everyone, not just the climbers. It’s a great way to meet new like-minded people and connect with others who might make for good camping/outdoor buddies. Bring your friends too, the more the merrier.
Getting there/parking: If you’re coming from UTS/Central, there are plenty of buses that go down Broadway. It’s also only a 20-minute walk from UTS so super convenient if you have class that day. If you’re driving, the best place to park your car is on the street somewhere around the Forest Lodge Hotel. Parking at USyd is paid.
Feel free to start and finish any time.
