Join us for a chilly start to the canyoning season, with Yileen Canyon!

This little pearl has some nice water holes, impressive canyon walls, and ends in a huge crescendo with an up to 60m abseil into the Grose Valley.

Whilst it is predicted to reach a top of 19 degrees in the mountains on Saturday, it will be chilly in the canyon. It will suit folks that can layer underneath wetsuits and can bring rain jackets if you particularly feel the cold.

To join this trip, please state your experience abseiling. You will need to be competent, as we will be planning to move through the 60m abseil section swiftly.

State also, if you require gear. The gear below can be borrowed from the club:
– Harness
– Helmet
– PAS and 2 spare biners
– wetsuit
– Canyon bag
– Dry bag
– abseiling gloves***(limited sizes available. Best t9 purchase gardening gloves)

Own gear:
– Thermals to wear under wetsuit if required (not cotton)
– Shoes with good Grip that can get wet (not heavy hiking shoes)
– Waterproof Jacket

We will make an early start on Saturday Morning, and as always, endeavour to carpool as much as possible
