Hi Members,

NOTE TRIP HAS BEEN AMENDED.
This trip has now been amended to Little Wobby to Woy Woy Hiking due to Trackwork.

Me, Suhail and Gordon will be running a hiking trip from Brooklyn to Wondabyne station via Little Wobby wharf.
This trip is to coincide with the End of Semester BBQ & Beer Party.

The walk is approximately 18km long and should take about 8 hours including a lunch break.
The start of the walk will begin from Brooklyn station in the Ku-ring-gai National Park, we catch a ferry across to Little Wobby wharf in Brisbane National park and walk 18km (mostly through firetrail) to Wondabyne Station (one of the cutest little train stations in the world – above photo).
From there we will catch late afternoon train back to Brooklyn to join the rest of the other day trippers for the end of semester BBQ hosted by UTSOAC.

The hiking will be long, thus we will need to start super early catching the train from Central at 5.48am, in order for us to catch the 7.30am ferry.
Ascents and descents are around 200m.

You will need to have good level of fitness to handle at least 8 hours of walking.
If the weather is conducive and we have time, there may be a quick swim at Wondabyne station!

If you are up for an early start and love a good long hike, you are more than welcome to come along on the trip!

Please be aware that this is the first time any of the leaders have done this particular hiking circuit, however the trails are mostly firetrails.
In any case, I will bring compass and topo map, should I need to navigate.
