Have you been climbing outdoors for a while now and feel limited by the length of your rope? Feel the innate desire to find yourself sitting in a hanging belay shivering and regretting leaving your wind breaker in the bag? perhaps being able to lounge around at the base of the crag is starting to feel a little to comfortable. Well fear not, the world of multipitching is here to satisfy all your needs and more. Join us for a day out at Resevoir dogs where we will cover the fundamental skills required to stay safe while multipitch climbing.

What is multipitch climbing?
Multipitch climbing is the collection of skills needed to ascend a cliff that is longer than your length of rope. Multipitch climbing carries more risk than single pitch climbing and is a serious undertaking that should be treated with respect and caution. Don’t be the person that needs a rescue because you overestimated your ability or didn’t adequetly prepare.

Requirements:
– you should be comfortable leading most 18’s outdoors, multis in the Blue mountains really only start around 17 and the bolts are typically more spaced than on single pitched climbs.
– lead belaying
– Self rescue skills endorsement or similar experience
– Rock Skills 1
– Rock Skills 2 (Anchor building and cleaning)

please explicitely confirm you have met the above requirements in your signup information. If you are unsure feel free to reply to contact me by replying to this trip port or contacting me otherwise.

See ya there!
