Hi all!
If you haven’t heard of Relay 4 Life before, it’s a 24 hour fundraising event for Cancer Council that takes place all over the world, with participants walking together to raise funds and awareness for anyone and everyone affected by cancer. There is no pressure or expectation to walk for the full 24 hours, the aim is to have someone from the team walking at all times, so we can tag-team and work together to keep our group moving.
The Sutherland Shire Relay For Life takes place at a small track right next to the beach in Cronulla, and has plenty of fun activities, stalls and events for everyone to get involved in. Some Highlights to look forward to are; the zumba class, live music, trivia in the evening, plenty of fundraising stalls and food trucks, and even some themed dress up laps.
It does have a price; with $30 for students (with a student card) and $35 for Adults, but it’s for a great cause, and a fantastic opportunity to hang out and get to know more people within the club. I’ve booked us a double gazebo site for the team (as it is per team and you cannot book more sites for tents) and people are welcome to sleep or play games and chill at base camp.
